Broome County remains one of the most scenic and beautiful areas in
Upstate New
York. Considered the crossroads of the New York’s
Southern Tier
Region, tiny rustic villages and hamlets grace the rural region, not far from prosperous urban cities, providing the best of both worlds. Broome County boasts a powerful economic base, with many organizations formed to attract new industries. The
Southern Tier East Economic Development (STEED) Loan fund is one of these, which works along with the
Broome County Industrial Development
Agency. A number of state as well as local tax incentive
programs, along with a high quality of life and low cost of housing help to draw in new businesses and firms.
Windsor residents enjoy the many amenities that Binghamton offers. The
Binghamton University and
Broome Community College provide higher education, while the city’s many theaters and arts centers offer a wide array of
entertainment. The
Ross Park Zoo makes for a delightful day, and the county boasts a wealth of
museums and historical sites. Home to six of the last remaining wooden
carousels, Broome County is a treat for young and old. Many
parks and recreational areas offer ice-skating and cross country skiing in the winter, along with biking and hiking trails in the summer months.
Windsor, New York offers gracious small-town living, with urban zest and abundance just a few miles
away.
