Rivers. Found at the very northwestern edge of

also borders Chenango
and Ostego Counties.Located
at the crossroads of Interstate 88 and State Route

maintains a small airport as well as a hospital.
The Amphenol
Aerospace Corporation settled in Sidney in 1929,
known at that time as the Bendix Aviation
Corporation. Sidney employees' hard work has earned
the company a world-class reputation for aerospace
products.
In
1949, the Keith Clark Corporation relocated its
calendar manufacturing company from New York City to
Sidney. Today, the firm employs more than a thousand
residents, manufacturing a variety of
time-management products to be shipped worldwide.
Una-lam,
a wood manufacturing firm, discovered Sidney in
1963, and today makes fire-resistant beams, hot tubs
and other wood products. A number of other smaller
businesses and industries also thrive in Sidney.
Delaware
County is one of New York State's most beautiful
areas. Sitting on the western slopes of the awesome Catskill
Mountains, the region is known for its superb
skiing, hunting and fishing.
The Susquehanna
River, flowing just outside of Sidney's back
door, is famous for its wide variety of game fish.
Muskellunge, walleye, bass, and trout abound in the
river. Over 350 mountain peaks grace the county and
more than 11,000 acres of streams, reservoirs and
rivers await outdoorsmen. This rural county boasts a
long tradition of country fairs and rollicking
lumberjack festivals, where visitors can watch
old-time sports such as logrolling and ox pulls.
Sidney plays host to the annual Arts
and Music Festival that features arts, crafts
and a variety of music ranging from country to jazz.
The Sidney
Historical Museum keeps the town's history well

County Vision 21, Inc. is a unique organization
that keeps its eyes turned on Sidney's future, as
well as the adjoining communities of Bainbridge
and Unadilla.
A non-profit group formed in 1996, they work to help
bring new growth into the area and to support
existing businesses.
