Rochester signed an Arizona-based company to install red-light cameras at key intersections throughout the city to help deter drivers from the irresponsible behavior of running red lights.At the intersection of Jay and State Streets, the police were pulling over and ticketing nearly 20 drivers per day for running the light. One year ago, the city installed the cameras, and has issued nearly 27,000 tickets to date with the help of the 20 cameras placed throughout the city.Binghamton residents that travel to Rochester should be aware that the city takes red light enforcement seriously.
