Estate Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Drunk Driver
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the estate of a 79-year-old woman has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver charged with driving while intoxicated in an accident resulting in her death. The accident happened east of Greensburg, a town close to Pittsburgh.
In August of 2008 the woman died after her car collided with a car driven by a man who was intoxicated. His blood alcohol level was 0.131 percent and under Pennsylvania law, 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.
Although the other driver pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in March, he denies any wrongdoing in connection with the crash.
The lawsuit is for an undisclosed amount.
