Man Pursuing Legal Action Against Arizona Medical Center Over Testicle Removal
A 23-year-old man has filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against the University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona for wrongfully removing his testicle, reports Justice News Flash.
In 2007, the young man was at the Medical Center for care following a rollover crash. The medical staff told him they had found a mass in his testicle and it needed to be biopsied. When he woke up from anesthesia, he found the testicle was gone and believed the surgeon had found a malignancy. A week later, during a follow-up appointment, he was told the biopsy was negative. The lump had been a hematoma.
The article reported the case was in trial.
